Six storytellers. Six generations. Generation Women® creates space for intergenerational connection and community. At our seasonal live show, six storytellers of note share an original, true story on a theme. Of those performers, one is in their 20s, 30s, 40s, 50s, 60s, and 70s+.

About the event
Generation Women blends a lively literary salon with the tradition of handing down wisdom from community elders. Join us around the matriarchal campfire for an intimate seasonal event that celebrates the hearts and minds of many. Alongside cis women, we cast all gender expressions including non-binary folk and trans women.
Flesh and Bone: Tales of the Female Body
We asked our performers to turn their gaze to the site of so much female joy and anxiety: our bodies. The ever-changing relationship we have to the vessels we move through life in is fraught and fascinating, funny and fearless. The messages we get from society, the media, even our own friends and family can be mixed and honestly, a mind f*ck. We invited our courageous storytellers to tell us a story about their body— their challenges or their triumphs. The way it’s brought them pain, or the pitter-patter of tiny feet, or better yet pleasure.

Hate city parking? We got you. Reserved parking available in nearby unattended Diamond Parking lot located at 2700 1st Ave Seattle (between Clay St. and Cedar St.). Lot available 6:00 p.m.-midnight. Self-print permit will be provided the week of the event and must be displayed in the vehicle. Limit 1 reserved parking permit per order. Reserved parking is not refundable but may be transferred.
